One eBay auctioneer is hoping someone will pay $1,750,000 for a very rare copy of the game Atlantis II for the Atari 2600. The auctioneer states, "The only way you could have obtained an original copy of this game is by entering the Defend Atlantis Contest and scoring over two million points on the original Atlantis cartridge."

David Pierce is one lucky guy. In addition to being given a fancy "CEO" title and $600,000 annual salary, the man has now been placed at the helm of Atari, currently in the process of sailing through stormy seas and various other clichés that amount to a lot failure and not an awful lot of money in the bank. Atari is one stock to stay far, far away from. I still have an Atari 2600 -- I'll never get rid of it. But to those who've been speculating on this stock, I'd say it's finally time to cut your losses and run.
