According to Nintendo's press release yesterday, the final version of the Opera browser will sport a few significant improvements over the current trial version. New features include improved zooming and scrolling, clearer fonts, faster load times, a quick link to favorites, and a 'www' button for easier URL entry. Personally, I'd like to see them focus more on site compatibility and an updated version of the flash player. You can download the full version later next month and try it for free until June.

Gizmodo takes a spin of the PS3's web browser. Some of the cool features are that you can have six browser sessions active at any given time, you can punch in addresses and text using the controller, a usb keyboard or a bluetooth keyboard. Slickest of all is the ability to use the left analog stick as your mouse.

Opera Software today announced details on its browser for Nintendo’s soon-to-be released game console, Wii. Opera’s full Web browser is available for download from the “Wii Shop Channel”. Nintendo has stated that they will offer Opera free of charge as a temporary promotion for all Wii users until June 2007.

This is great news! The Wii Opera Web browser would indeed support Adobe Flash!
The Opera browser will not be free, however; it will be available for purchase using Wii points through Nintendo's online service.
And if you're a Flash game developer reading this, you can now design games with the Wiimote in mind. In other words, rely less on the keyboard and more on the pointing and clicking.

The Nintendo DS Opera Browser is now on sale across Japan and here we have a video of it in action on a DS lite with commentary in English. Shows many popular sites running on the DS, including Digg, Slashdot, Gizmodo etc.
