
A Swedish former video game executive who made headlines by destroying a $1 million Ferrari in a spectacular crash was sentenced on Tuesday to 3 1/2 years in prison after pleading guilty to embezzlement and drunken driving charges, prosecutors said.
Under terms of a surprise plea agreement entered days after a jury deadlocked on the charges against him, Bo Stefan Eriksson, 44, also had his multimillion-dollar California mansion seized and was ordered deported from the United States after serving his sentence.

A judge declared a mistrial Friday in the fraud and grand theft trial of a Swedish businessman whose 162-mph wreck in a classic Ferrari led to the charges alleging he stole two luxury sports cars. Jurors told Judge Patricia Schnegg they were deadlocked 10-2 in favor of convicting Bo Stefan Eriksson.

Bo Stefan Eriksson, 44, a former executive with the now bankrupt video game company Gizmondo Europe, pleaded not guilty to the charges stemming from the dramatic 160 mph (257.5 kph) crash of the rare red Enzo Ferrari in February along the winding Pacific Coast Highway.
The smash into a power pole, which sliced the car in half but caused no injuries, ended Eriksson's life of big spending, million dollar homes, fast cars and burned-out ventures in both Europe and the United States.
