Microsoft reported its quarterly earnings yesterday, and the company has reason to be pleased with itself. Revenues were at $13.76 billion for the quarter, a full 27 percent jump from last year's first-quarter revenues of $10.81 billion. "This fiscal year is off to an outstanding start with the fastest revenue growth of any first quarter since 1999," said Chris Liddell, chief financial officer at Microsoft. It's a Marine, obviously now an old man, recounting a battle with the Covenant when he was fighting beside the Master Chief. The quick commercial takes place in a Museum. Check this out.
t’s official: Bungie Studios & Microsoft Game Studios will be releasing Halo 3 on September 25th in North America, and just a day later in Europe.
You all ready for the beta? It goes live in just 7 hours (May 16 at 5 a.m. PDT) and run through June 6 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
The Halo 3 Legendary Edition ($130) is already making its way onto the Amazon Bestseller list, taking third place. Seeing as these are only pre-orders and the game still has a few months before it hits retail, who agrees that Halo 3 is on track to be the best-selling Xbox 360 game ever?

The graphics aren't finished yet, the game plays just like Halo 2 right now, post-patch. As the patch tried to turn H2 more into H1, that should bring a ray of hope to H1MP fans.

In Microsoft's latest press release, they included some exciting information about Halo 3. Starting December 4th, you can register for an opportunity to play the game. The public beta is only scheduled to start some time in the Spring of 2007, but now is the time to get in on it.
