EA recently announced an exclusive version of the Sims for the Nintendo Wii, and it turns out the game will now feature the Mii characters one can make on the Nintendo Wii to feature in Wii Sports.
Furthermore, the game has a visual style that reminds us very much of Animal Crossing, which might not be a bad thing at all.
If anything, we should be glad that EA is planning to give Wii owners something new instead of a straight port of an old game.
The game is currently slated for a release in Japan in 2007.

George Harrison, NOA's Senior VP of Marketing and Corporate Communication, recently chatted with Reuters, and gave away a few new details on Miis.
-The gathering place of the Miis (where you can see all of them) is called the Mii Plaza.
-Mii Plaza can hold up to 100 of your Mii creations.
-Additionally, 10 more can be stored in each Wiimote. Or for those of us not planning on making 110 Miis, it can be where you put your favorites, so you can take them and show them off at friends' homes.

The Wii's Mii service - the built-in service that lets you create a simple model of your face for use in games like Wii Sports and Warioware, was just so simple, it was just asking to be created into a flash app. Create your own Mii before the Wii even hits stores.

So what do we have here? Hmm, screen 1 shows the Virtual Console front page and demonstrates the sort of options we’ll be able to browse and dive into. Based on what Nintendo has told us so far it looks like a pretty complete list too, with news, weather, digital image management and the Mii channel all on display, as well as a bunch of games – presumably downloaded through the Wii Shop channel that’s shown.
