The fourth Metal Gear Solid is still in the in the middle of construction, but series mastermind Hideo Kojima is already brainstorming his next game, an pay-to-play online game where you hand over cash in exchange for stumbling around as a zombie.

"The zombie idea I have is a bit different," he told our colleagues at Edge magazine. "Imagine a large town where half the inhabitants are zombies. Users would subscribe, get inside the town and get bitten. At that stage they become undead and can't control their character - all they can do is...

Two years into the history of World of Warcraft—an online game that accommodates 7 million players around the world—no one had successfully ventured into the dungeon to slay a group of computer-generated villains known as the Four Horsemen. But four experienced "guilds" of players—one in Europe, two in America and one in China—were coming close, posting updates on separate Web sites they maintained....

The eyeball-based business model has a new game - massively multiplayer online role-playing games.

Acclaim Games says that its new massively multiplayer game, 2Moons, is going to be totally free and will be purely ad supported. The M-rated role playing game with the tagline, “No mercy for the weak, no pity for the dying, no tears for the slain,” has got the 15-to-30 demographic right in its cross hair, and could attract some serious advertising dollars. 2Moons is based upon a successful MMO called Dekaron in Korea, and is being directed...
