The Halo 3 Legendary Edition ($130) is already making its way onto the Amazon Bestseller list, taking third place. Seeing as these are only pre-orders and the game still has a few months before it hits retail, who agrees that Halo 3 is on track to be the best-selling Xbox 360 game ever?

Gamestops and EB Games across the US opened their doors today to find customers eagerly waiting to preorder a Nintendo Wii. With the massive launch numbers, many future Wii owners are counting on strolling into a store on launch and purchasing their Wii, without the hassle of lines and reservations. However, reports are coming in that the demand for Wii preordering was greater than expected.
Most Gamestops and EB Games opened with larger crowds than the PS3 preorder had earlier this week. In spite of the increased reservation spots compared...

Here's the text from the email:
"GameStop and EB Games stores will begin accepting limited pre-orders for the Nintendo Wii console on Friday, October 13, on a first come, first served basis. Due to extremely limited supply, we expect to reach our limit very quickly, most likely in minutes. We will not accept additional pre-orders at that time. To avoid an unnecessary trip we strongly recommend you call your local store to determine availability. A $50 reservation deposit is required, which can be funded with cash, credit or trade. As we...

Just as PS3 pre-orders are selling out nationwide at EB Games/GameStop stores, Sony is worried about PlayStation 3 heat issues, contrary to recent reports.
In addition to the 3 crashes witnessed by many at the TGS show, at least one company that manufactures the store kiosks has been asked to implement last minute design changes to the displays: additional cooling is being implemented. Those hoping to get their hands on a PlayStation 3 at launch time had today circled on their calendars. More precisely, this morning. GameStop and EB Games started taking preorders for the very limited number of consoles they will have available at launch time.

It seems some early risers were temporarily able to place a pre-order for the Nintendo Wii, at the online retailer, Amazon. The new gaming console is not to be released officially until November 19. It's not possible to know exactly how many of the consoles were pre-ordered, however, the device hit #6 on the top sellers list for Game Hardware category.
"Amazon offered preorders with Wii Sports included for $249 today. With 1 day expedited shipping ran $283.83. No absurd bundle required. They began taking preorders this morning and had sold...

We're all waiting for game retailers to start accepting pre-orders for Nintendo Wii. Well, getting in line on the morning after E3 AND being the first one to pre-order the Nintendo Wii won't guarantee you a console at launch. Unlike the Xbox360 launch, things will work a bit different this time. In fact, if you're the last person to pre-order Wii, it can still mean you'll be the first to get the console. How you ask? Simple -- pay more.
Yes, after talking to some inside source at EBgames, they confirmed to me that that's how it will work....
